Yaddo Snow Happening

This multi-day snow sculpture went through various phases. It started as a snow woman and ended with me stripping and sitting inside the form to melt the interior. It was the starting point for the nesting paper forms in A Bigger Container, my first solo show in NYC. I was transitioning out of bread into ice, another mutable material. It was the beginning of my interest in snow and ice, which has continued to this day . ~Yaddo 1996
